Supreme AdBlock support
Most problems are fixed from the popup in one click. Choose what is happening below. If nothing here helps, write to us and we will fix it for everyone.
A site looks broken
- Click the Supreme AdBlock icon in the toolbar and choose Site broken? Fix it or tell us.
- Try the fixes on the repair page, one at a time. Turn off element hiding here, Allow ads here for 1 hour and Allow ads on this site apply to that site only; Pause everywhere for 30 minutes covers every site. The tab reloads after each one.
- Still broken? Choose Tell us. The report opens in your own email app, and you see every word before you send it.
The popup has the same two switches for the site you are on: Block ads on this site and Hide ad boxes here.
A YouTube video won't play
- Reload the page.
- Using two ad blockers? Switch one off. Two blockers working on YouTube at once can stall the player.
- If YouTube says ad blockers are not allowed, Supreme AdBlock steps aside on YouTube for six hours and reloads, so the video plays, with ads. Settings shows YouTube bypass: ACTIVE until blocking resumes by itself.
- Still stuck? Switch YouTube ad blocking off in Settings and tell us what you saw.
How the YouTube blocking works: YouTube ad blocker.
I still see an ad
- Check the switch at the top of the popup: protection must be on, and not paused.
- Check Block ads on this site in the popup. A site you allowed shows its ads on purpose.
- Remove it right away with Hide element in the popup: click the ad, and it stays hidden on that site. Hid the wrong thing? The ↶ button next to it brings it back.
- Ads or trackers coming from another site? Open Blocked on this page in the popup: under Connections on this page, choose Block here next to that site. It is blocked on this site only; Settings lists it under Connections you blocked.
- Tell us with Site broken? Fix it or tell us, then Tell us. New ad networks are added through the signed filter update, which reaches every installation about twice a day. Settings shows when the last one arrived.
A cookie banner stayed
- Make sure Cookie / consent banners is on in Settings.
- Hide it now with Hide element in the popup.
- Tell us the site with Site broken? Fix it or tell us, so we can add that banner.
How banners are answered, and what is never pressed: cookie banner blocker.
A warning page opened instead of a site
“This site may harm your device” means the address is on URLhaus, abuse.ch's public list of sites that spread malware, which is built into the extension. The site was not contacted.
- Go back returns to the page you came from.
- Continue anyway opens that site, and only that site, until you close the browser. What its pages load from other known malware sites stays blocked.
- Think it is a mistake? Why is it listed? opens the site's URLhaus entry, where abuse.ch explains it. Lists change: a site that is cleaned up is removed there, and then from the extension with the next filter update.
- You can switch the warning off in Settings: Malware protection.
Settings, sync and backup
- Open Settings from the popup to choose filter lists, including 31 regional ones, the Focus mode switches, your own filters and the light or dark theme.
- Sync across devices is off until you turn it on. Then your settings travel with your own browser account, never through us.
- Export your settings to a file, and import it on another computer. Coming from uBlock Origin, AdGuard or Adblock Plus? Import from another ad blocker brings over the sites you allowed and your own filters.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+U turns blocking on this site on or off, Alt+Shift+Q pauses or resumes (Ctrl+Shift on a Mac). Settings shows them and where to change them.
- The interface follows your browser's language. 70 languages are included.
Removing the extension
Open chrome://extensions, find Supreme AdBlock and choose Remove. What it stored on this device is removed with it.
Write to us
Email info@carbonstealth.eu. For a broken site, the Site broken? page writes the message for you, with the site name, your description, the extension and browser version and which lists are on, and you read every word before sending it.
You can also ask on the support tab of the Chrome Web Store listing.
The extension never sends a report by itself. What you email us is used only to fix the problem and to answer you; the privacy policy explains how it is handled.
