YouTube ads stopped at the source
We never block YouTube's video servers, which is what makes other setups stall or fake-buffer. Ad entries are taken out of the player data before the player reads it, and nothing in the page gives the blocker away.
Protection that never goes stale
Ad networks rotate domains daily; a store review takes days. Our filter data refreshes twice a day, Ed25519-signed and version-locked — a new ad network is handled in hours.
No remote code, enforced
The engine ships inside the package. Updates are data only — hostnames and CSS selectors. The 39 anti-adblock routines and the sites they run on are fixed in the package and checked when it is built.

Two public tests, same conditions
Every blocker got a fresh browser profile, its default settings and a minute to set itself up, then ran the same two public test pages twice. The runs matched, except for AdGuard and Adblock Plus, whose Turtlecute counts moved by one or two (the table shows the range). Higher is better. How we measure.

Measured on 25 September 2026 in headless Chromium with tools/compare_blockers.mjs (in our public repository — run it yourself). Ghostery scored one point higher on adblock-tester. AdGuard and Adblock Plus may do better with extra lists switched on or after a longer set-up; we report their defaults. Test pages change over time, so numbers from another day will differ.

How it works
How it blocks YouTube ads at the source
Most blockers remove YouTube ads after the player has already asked for them, which is when YouTube can push back with a fake-buffering delay. Supreme AdBlock works one step earlier: the ad entries are taken out of the player's data as it arrives, before the player reads it, and the page never sees a sign of a blocker — no altered functions, no failed playback reports. It never blocks YouTube's video servers, so clips keep loading.
If YouTube refuses to play on an account it has flagged, the extension notices, steps aside for that session and reloads — the video plays (with ads) instead of leaving you with a spinner.
How it handles cookie banners — carefully
When a consent banner appears, Supreme AdBlock presses the banner's own Reject button if there is one, and Accept only when there is no other way to close it. It then clears whatever the banner left behind: a dimmed or blurred background, a scroll lock, a page made unclickable.
It only ever presses a cookie banner's own buttons — never a sign-in, OAuth or payment button, never a button that submits a form, and never a link that leaves the page. Want a site to remember your own choices? Switch cookie handling off in Settings.
What "signed updates, no remote code" means
Chrome forbids extensions from downloading code — and rightly so. Supreme AdBlock downloads only data: domain names and CSS selectors. The 39 anti-adblock routines and the sites they run on are fixed in the package and can't be changed from the network. The file is signed with an Ed25519 key that never leaves our server, and a newer signed version can never be replaced by an older one.
Filter lists for your language
Ads are local, so a single English list misses a lot of them. Supreme AdBlock ships 31 regional lists — from Arabic and Chinese to Ukrainian and Vietnamese — and the one that matches your browser's language turns on by itself. You can switch any of them on or off in Settings, each with its licence and a link to its authors.
Four lists (Bulgarian, Polish, Nordic, Croatian) are not ours to redistribute, so they are not in the package. Turn one on and your browser downloads it from its author, and the extension converts it on your device — as data, never as code.
Focus mode: fewer distractions, not just fewer ads
Settings has a Focus section with separate switches for chat bubbles, newsletter pop-ups, "allow notifications" prompts, social widgets, AI-assistant pop-ups, "Sign in with Google" prompts and short-video shelves such as YouTube Shorts. All are off until you turn them on.
When a site breaks: the repair page
Open the popup and choose Site broken?. The repair page offers the fixes that usually work — turn off element hiding for that site, allow the site, or pause for 30 minutes — and reloads the tab for you. If it is still broken, it prepares a short report e-mail that you read and send yourself. The extension never sends anything on its own, and the full page address is included only if you tick the box.
Supreme AdBlock vs uBlock Origin
uBlock Origin is excellent. In Chrome today it ships as uBlock Origin Lite, whose built-in rules update with each extension release (since June 2026 it can also subscribe to external lists). Does Manifest V3 break ad blockers?
Manifest V3 changed how Chrome extensions block network requests, and some blockers lost features in the move. Supreme AdBlock was built for it from the start: network blocking uses declarativeNetRequest, and the gaps it leaves — pop-unders, anti-adblock walls, cookie walls — are covered by code that ships in the package.

Is Supreme AdBlock free?
Yes. Supreme AdBlock is free, with no account and no paid tier. Donations are optional and never required.
Is it safe to install?
Yes. On the Chrome Web Store, Supreme AdBlock carries the Established Publisher badge: Google has verified the publisher's identity, the listing is published by the owner of carbonstealth.eu, and the publisher has a good record with no history of policy violations. All of the extension's code ships in the package — nothing is downloaded and run — and your browsing data never leaves your device.
Does it block YouTube ads?
Yes. Ad entries are taken out of the player data before the player reads it, so video ads never start, and ads in the feed and search are removed too. If YouTube still refuses to play on an account it has flagged, the extension steps aside for that session so videos still play.
Does it collect my data?
Your browsing data never leaves your device: no account, no analytics, no telemetry. The only automatic request to us is the filter update, about twice a day (lists you add yourself refresh from their own address); like any download it reaches our EU server with your IP address, and that request is not logged. Will it break websites?
Rarely. If a site misbehaves, choose Site broken? in the popup: one click allows the site, or keeps network blocking and switches off only element hiding for that site, and a ready-made report lets you tell us about it. Step-by-step help is on the support page.
Which languages does it speak?
The interface is in 70 languages and follows your browser's language, right-to-left scripts included. Regional filter lists for 31 languages and regions are built in, and the one for your language turns on by itself; 4 more (Bulgarian, Polish, Nordic, Croatian) download from their authors when you switch them on.
